With Mortgage Interest Rates these past few weeks being below 5%, many buyers who have been waiting are now actively looking to buy. Many fear that the rates will go up and have taken steps to secure loans and purchase now while they are low. The average sales price remains lower than in the past and is around $245,000 with an average of 85 days on the market. The Layton East Bench is still demanding higher prices, although down from the past year. Layton is a great area for buyers and the price of homes is still a great value. Even with the numbers falling slightly you need to remember that this is still a good market, compared to what we are seeing throughout the Nation. The impact of the major bailout by the Government of the Financial Institutions and other major players in the market have raised concerned over the economy and Real Estate Market. Utah still remains to be one the most desired places to live and buyers are still coming to the area, due to a lot of major corporations relocating their companies here. Jobs are good and the pay rate is good as well. Layton is still a very desired area along the Wasatch Front and remains a popular location due to its proximity to Salt Lake and Ogden. Call me for additional information on any areas through-out Utah. I would love to help you find the perfect place to live in our beautiful State.
