For the first five months of 2008 home sales are down 30% in Box Elder County, but home sales prices have remained pretty stable. The average price of homes sold is $168,062 and 196 single family homes were sold in the first five months of this year.
In 2007 280 residential homes were sold in Box Elder County over the first five months. The average price of single family omes sold was $169,005 and the average home sold in 60 days.
For the year 2006, single family home sales increased 14% for Box Elder County. There were 497 homes sold in 2005 vs. 578 in 2006. The average price of single family homes increased 8.5% for 2006 up to $151,567 for 2006 vs. $138,654 for 2005.
Brigham City Utah Real Estate Market
Real Estate in Brigham City continues to be strong. Through the first 10 months of 2006 there has been 6% more homes sold (235 vs. 222), and the average price of homes sold has increased by almost 12% ($138,747 to $157,261). Brigham City is feeling some spillover effects of the recent housing boom in Salt Lake and Utah Counties. People are moving up north because the cost of housing is just a little bit cheaper.
In 2006 the average Brigham City home was on the market for 52 days, and nearly half of all homes sold in Brigham City sold within the first month listed. Last year the average days on market was 73.
