One of the "Stars" in the Metroplex Real Estate Community is Plano. That notwithstanding, according to the North Texas Real Estate Information System (NTREIS), this well-loved city showed a decrease in Average Sales Price in November '08 of 25.87% over November of '07. All of these figures are against a backdrop of several communities suffering losses in their overall numbers, highlighting Plano as one of the stronger cities. It is one more example of the cyclical nature of Real Estate, which remains one of the best investment vehicles in Texas. It is also evidence of not being able to accurately report market conditions nationally, as the media continues to report doom and gloom for Real Estate ... not so in Plano!
