2008 is almost behind us and the market is improving. We have not experienced the decline in the market that much of the nation has experienced in the last year. Our housing market is still strong and all indications are it will remain strong. It is now the prime time for buying and/or selling your home as buyers are searching for their new home and if you are thinking of selling, now is the time. After a rocky start the year is improving. To begin December , the current number of homes on the market is at 469, up slightly over last year (2%). Through November 693 homes sold, down 21% over the same time period in 2007 with an average sales price of $340,363, up 5%; the median price of $287,000, a 1% increase.. The average sales price was up 5% with the total dollar volume of $235,871,559, Through November the average days on the market was 81, up 29%.

In 2007 921 homes were sold, a decrease of 13% compared 2006; however the average sales price was $324,883, an increase of 9%. The total dollar volume spent in Keller for residential real estate in 2007 was $299,217,243, down 6% from 2006. The best indicator of the market is Average Days on the Market: DOM is 64 days, up 7%. Statistics for 2007 indicate a continued strong Keller Real Estate market as compared with many areas of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. With new construction and existing homes, the choice of homes available will delight new buyers. Come grow with us!!
