WINTER IS HERE and the real estate market in our area seems to be heating up. The elections are finally over and it appears that the market is releasing some buyers and sellers who have been waiting in the wings for things to shake out. We are seeing multiple offers on some properties and are assisting several sellers who want to get a jump on the market before spring arrives (along with all the other spring sellers). As usual, some neighborhoods are outperforming others, but over all the trend seems to be an increase in value. The lenders seem to be settling in on their new guidelines which include higher credit scores and larger down payments. So as of now, our market looks to be healthy and the continued trend of slight increases in values, depending on the subdivision.
