El Paso is in an unusual market right now. While there are many homes on the market, the list price to sales price ratio is still around 97-98% and sales prices are up from where they were a year ago.
We are seeing sellers offering concessions to be competitive in the market and builders are very competitive now also.
Sales and pending sales are slower but homes are selling. El Paso was again awarded the 3rd safest city for cities over 500,000 .
With the new Medical School and Research Center opening up for classes in August 2009 and a new Children's Hospital breaking ground in Feb. 2009 and the military is bring in lots of new people all the way through 2012.(almost 100,000 soldiers and family members) I think that our prices will start to climb at a decent growth so now is the time to buy in El Paso,TX.
