Addison/Far North Dallas Sellers, according to the NTREIS area statistics (deemed accurate but not guaranteed), were reported to receive a 12.79% increase in Average Sales Price for the month of November this year, as compared to November of '07. Overall gain for NTREIS Area was 2.5%, making Addison a star performer in the current marketplace. Even the Year To Date Average Sales Price in '08, as compared to '07, shows an increase of 3%. That's is good news in a season of marginal change at best. The Average Days on Market changed upward, from 76 days in November of '07 to 86 days this year. The number of houses sold dropped from 117 in November '07 to 81 during November '08. Overall, Addison is still a great area to look toward excellent future value. This area of town is demonstrating how much healthier our Real Estate market is in Texas and North Texas than you hear in the national media ... once again giving evidence that Real Estate is a Local Industry, and one not easy to report accurately by the media.
In spite of the challenges at this time in the Metroplex Real Estate community generally, Addison remains a thriving, high energy area of town, and one of our favorite neighborhoods for listing and selling homes.
