A recent GNAR reported November statistics. Their numbers were not encouraging. There were 1,243 closings in November, a decrease of 45 percent from the 2,260 closings reported in November of 2007.
Year-to-date closings are 22,824, a decrease of 29 percent from the 32,112 closings for the same period in 2007.
The median price for a single-family residence was $165,000 and $150,000 for a condominium, compared with median prices of $179,900 and $167,035 respectively in November 2007.
Inventory is currently at 23,467, compared with 22,301 at this time last year.
