Buyers currently have numerous choices and much leverage to purchase that dream home they have been thinking about. A great number of the current transactions are REO properties and short sales. Most banks and lenders are negotiating with sellers and accepting deals to avoid foreclosure. We are seeing investors buying single family homes at specific price points. The market value declines have caused many sellers stress because their homes are staying on the market for 6 months or longer. Sellers who are willing to be realistic and price their homes at current competitive market values are actually selling their homes. As a seller, you also need to present your home to the market as attractively as possible and price it correctly when you first put it on the market. This is the time when buyers are interested in seeing the new home just listed and what it has to offer them.
